Implementation of a static website
In the static website, all pages from the information architecture are developed, using as a basis the HTML templates. The real content is placed manually within the website and cannot be changed later by the client.
Most often, these are small presentational websites, in which texts will not be changed or added often. Changing or adding content requires a qualified person. Fast to develop, they are a cheaper solution if the overall number of pages is relatively small.
Implementation of a dynamic website
The content of a dynamic website can be changed, new texts can be added, images can be published, categories and pages can be added. This happens through a content management system. The use of such a system, doesn’t require any special technical skills. The owner of a dynamic website can change the content by himself at any time. The options for a content management system are the following:
- Custom made content management system, created according to the needs and requirements of the client – The system is developed in compliance with the experience and habits of the client, as well as the type and complexity of the information to be entered.
- Ready made content management system – there is a number of ready made systems, specialized for different types of websites (online shops, catalogs, blogs, forums, galleries, etc.). After examining the need and requirements of the client, the most suitable system is chosen. The graphical design is then created on the basis of the system. The major advantage of the ready made content management systems is the possibility for a quicker development of the website and therefore lower expenses. The major drawback is the limited flexibility in changing the structure of the website and the administration panel.
